We’re kicking things off early at WordCamp Lisboa 2025.
The day before the Community and Contribution day, we’re hosting a special WordPress Meetup right here in Lisbon, and you’re invited. Whether you’re arriving in town early or you’re a local looking to get into the WordCamp spirit, this warm-up event on Thursday the 15th of May is the perfect chance to meet fellow attendees and connect with the local community.
This event will feature a talk by Milana Cap, a well-known WordPress engineer at XWP and active contributor to the WordPress project. She’ll introduce us to the WP_HTML_Tag_Processor and its powerful sibling, WP_HTML_Processor; two game-changing tools in WordPress’s new HTML API.
You’ll learn how these tools streamline HTML manipulation in PHP, replacing error-prone regexes and even clunky JavaScript solutions with a fast, efficient, and spec-compliant approach. Through real-life examples and live coding, Milana will show how they can seriously improve your development workflows and help you solve long-standing HTML challenges with ease.
