Purpose<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">WordCamp Lisboa believes our community should be truly open for everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, age, caste, social class, preferred operating system, programming language, or text editor, among other identifying characteristics.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">We invite all sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other participants to help us realise a safe and positive conference experience for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">2. Open Source Citizenship<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">A supplemental goal of this code of conduct is to increase open source citizenship by encouraging participants to recognise and strengthen the relationships between what we do and the community at large.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">3. Expected Behaviour<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span lang=\"\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behaviour and speech.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert conference organisers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.<\/bdo><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you help to create WordCamp Lisboa and make it your own.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\"><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">4. Unacceptable Behaviour<\/bdo><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">Unacceptable behaviours include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct by any attendees of WordCamp Lisboa and related events. All WordCamp Lisboa venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">Harassment includes: offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and\/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">The promotion of commercial products or services is reserved for event sponsors, excluding microsponsors.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">5. Consequences Of Unacceptable Behaviour<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated whether by other attendees, organisers, venue staff, sponsors, or other patrons of WordCamp Lisboa venues.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">6. What To Do If You Witness Or Are Subject To Unacceptable Behaviour<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">If you are subject to unacceptable behaviour, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please notify a conference organiser as soon as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">The WordCamp Lisboa team will be available to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, to provide escorts, or to otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable behaviour to feel safe for the duration of the conference. Volunteers will be wearing a yellow t-shirt. Any volunteer can connect you with a conference organiser. You can also go to the registration desk in the lobby and ask for the organisers.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">One <\/bdo><bdo lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">organiser, \u00c1lvaro G\u00f3is, is specifically assigned to liaise with the attendees, whose direct contacts will be made public during the conference.<\/span><\/bdo><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">7. Scope<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">We expect all conference participants (sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other guests) to abide by this code of conduct at all conference venues and conference-related social events.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\" class=\"lang-attribute\">8.
