After-party

Some will say it is the most anticipated moment of WordCamp. We won’t go that far – WordCamp has special moments for everyone! But the truth is that besides celebrating the return of WordCamp to Lisboa, we are also celebrating a special date: 20 years since the first version of WordPress was launched in May 2003, after Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little decided to fork b2/cafelog!

The WordCamp Lisboa 2023 after-party will take place on Saturday, May 20th, after the main event. Starting at 8pm, we will have a free* access party for all WordCamp attendees. Presenting the event badge is mandatory, so don’t forget to bring it with you.

The after-party will take place between 8:00 pm and midnight at the I-Terrace Restaurant. The space is located on the terrace of the INDEG building, within the ISCTE premises and less than 100 meters from the main event venue. There will be a finger-food buffet with drinks included*.

We’re going to use the party time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of WordPress and there will be commemorative cake! Afterwards there will be bar service, ambient music, and more socializing.

Program:

8:00pm to 10:00pm: Finger-food buffet with drinks included*.

10:00pm to 10:30pm: Celebration of the 20th anniversary of WordPress.

10:30pm to 00:00am: Cash bar service

The party is sponsored by IfthenPay and PTisp

The cake celebrating the 20th anniversary of WordPress is a gift from ChefPanda.

* Notes regarding after-party access:

The organization will reserve the space and amount of buffet and drinks included according to the expected number of participants, according to the preference indicated when purchasing the ticket and the experience of previous events.

In case the actual number of participants is higher than expected, the buffet may not be guaranteed to last until the scheduled time, regardless of the preference indicated on the ticket.

We do not expect to limit access to the after party, unless attendance exceeds the maximum capacity. For the safety of all participants, the maximum capacity will be strictly enforced.
